Our November Pinterest Project Workshop features holiday-themed crafts!

Hello, everyone! It’s that time – time to announce our Pinterest Project Workshop activities for the month of November!

(Just a recap, for those who might have missed this information: we are introducing Pinterest Project Workshops as a part of our library’s new makerspace initiative. You can read more about that by clicking here.)

This month, we will have our workshops on 2 days:

  • Thursday evening, November 19th, from 7 PM to 9 PM
  • Friday afternoon, November 20th, from 2 PM to 4 PM

We will meet in room 114 of the LRC. Our crafts for November are HOLIDAY themed! We have holiday decorations: wine glass candle holders and wooden snowmen plus an inexpensive holiday gift idea: t-shirt tote bags! Some crafts this month will require extra time or materials. Please read through the descriptions carefully before making your selection.

Christmas Wine Glass Candle Holders: Wine Glass Candle Holders

Cost: $10.00

**Reindeer glass pictured not included.**

Can you  believe how cute these guys are? What a perfect centerpiece for your holiday table – and so simple to do!

This craft will take an additional day, so if you choose this craft, you will need to come in sometime at least 24 hours before the Pinterest Project Workshop day (next Thursday evening or Friday afternoon, depending on when you’re wanting to do yours) to spray paint your wine glass. This will have to be done on your own time, independent of the workshop. Library hours are M-Th, 8am-9pm, Fri, 8am-4pm, and Sun, 6pm-9pm.

On the workshop day, we will be applying accessories to your pre-painted glasses.

Great Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas: #DIY #snowmen: Wooden Snowmen

Cost: $3.00

The great thing about snowmen is that they’re not just for the holiday season – you can use your snowmen decor all winter long!

On workshop day, we will be sanding the wood blocks, spray painting them white, and then hand-painting eyes and carrot noses and adding holiday-themed fabric hats and scarves.

These snowmen are perfect for adding a rustic flair to your holiday decor and would also make adorable gifts for your friends and family.

diy no sew fringe purse from a tee shirt -- I wouldnt do the fringe but this is cute!: DIY simple, no sew recycled t-shirt bag!I made it in less than 5 minutes! Using it tomorrow at the farmer's market!: T-Shirt Tote Bags

These bags are SO easy to do and so completely functional! You’ll need to bring an old t-shirt, but we’ll take care of the rest! We’ll help you upcycle your old t-shirt into a new, fun, roomy, and oh-so-trendy bag! 🙂 You will have the option of choosing whether to make a simple drawstring-bottomed bag or a fun fringed bag.

If you’re looking for a super inexpensive gift to give this holiday season that won’t take forever to make, is useful, and looks fabulous, look no further! 🙂

You may sign up for any of the above Pinterest Workshop Projects using the form below or by coming to our makerspace and physically signing up there. ***If you are signing up for the Wine Glass Candle Holders, please indicate which candle holder you would like to make: Santa, Snowman, or Grinch. *** All money is due by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18th so that we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone who wants to participate!!
